What do I need to know to get started?
All you need to know is contained in our Getting Started Handbook. You’ll find an online version here.

Which browsers are supported?
Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access the Avaya Spaces—don’t forget to allow Spaces to access your microphone and camera (if you’d like to use video and/or voice chat). It will pop up near your address bar, the first time you create or join a space.

How do I add Outlook add-on/ chrome extension?
From your dashboard, on the far right side there will be an “APPS & EXTENSION” section where you can find all of the following:

Zang Agenda Chrome Extension
Avaya Spaces Outlook addon

Is Spaces available on Android and iOS?
Yes. Avaya Spaces is available as a smartphone app on both the App Store and Play Store. Those same versions will also work for your tablet!

Does Spaces support Mac and Windows?
Yes. Avaya Spaces is supported on both Mac and Windows.

How do I onboard everyone?
When users are added they get an email to kick start the process and provide helpful information.

How do I download Avaya Spaces?
Well, you don’t. Once you have an account, all you need to do is visit, log in, and open your browser. The only item you might have to download is the Avaya Spaces screen sharing extension for Google Chrome.

Can I upload and share my files on Spaces?
You sure can! Spaces allows you to share and upload your files. The amount of cloud storage depends on your license level (don't worry you still get this feature with a free license). Refer to this link for more details on what’s included in your license.

Can I invite people from outside of my organization to join a space/meeting as a guest?
Of course! Avaya Spaces allows you to invite anyone (via their email address) to your space/meeting without forcing them to create an account.

As an administrator, can I manage and provision my users?
For Sure! If you decide to upgrade from a free account to either a Plus or Business license, an admin portal will be available for user management.

Can I access my Avaya Spaces account from anywhere?
Yeah! Avaya Spaces is a cloud solution, which means all you need is your password and you can sign in from anywhere and any device.

What’s the difference between an admin, member and guest?
Admin - An admin has the same type of access to a space as the person that initially created it. This means that on top of being able chat (via text, voice, or video), they can also share files, create/assign tasks, and most importantly, modify the permissions of other participants.

Member - A member has the exact same permissions as an admin (detailed above), but with one important difference—they don’t have the ability to modify the permissions of other participants. This means that they cannot invite new members, change their permissions, or remove other participants from the space.

Guest - A guest is able to chat via text, voice, or video, but not able to share files via the ‘Posts’ tab, create/assign tasks, or modify the permissions of other participants.

Limits on room size?
There is no limit for the amount of people in the space – but there is a limit on the amount of people that can be on a voice or video call. Basic Package: Voice conference up to 5 people

Plus Package: Voice conference up to 25 people or video up to 15.

Business Package: Voice conference up to 60 people or video up to 25!

How do I upgrade my account?
The admin can upgrade licenses from the Administrator Portal and purchase more licenses through Zang Store.

When will I get billed?
You will be billed based on your monthly cycle of when you signed up.

How do I call in/use my phone for audio?
You can download the Spaces mobile apps on iOS or Android for free. This means you can access Spaces on your laptop at work, your tablet at home, your phone on-the-go, or even from the dark depths of outer space (well, that last one could be an exaggeration).

Once you’ve downloaded the app, log in with your Spaces account details and you can pick up from exactly where you left off on your computer. The mobile app enables you to chat, meet over audio and video, create tasks, and post documents, just like you can from a computer.
